Montana Rose delivers goodtime country sounds from its base in Gallatin Gateway, Montana, USA. Claudia Appling Williams fronts the group alongside her husband Kenny, who handles bass duties and leads the band. Guitarist Rick Winkling and drummer Mike Gillan round out the lineup, while Fats Kaplan contributes accordion on Star Of Bannack. The track ‘Hillbilly With A Record Deal’ offers a cynical perspective on contemporary country and has performed strongly, raising the possibility that the band itself could soon secure a major-label deal.
