Biography
During the 1960s, Monte Dunn earned recognition as a session guitarist specializing in folk and folk-rock, contributing to albums by Ian & Sylvia, Fred Neil, David Blue, and Buffy Sainte-Marie. Partnering with vocalist Karen Cruz toward the end of that decade, the pair produced an uncommon self-titled album in the folk-rock vein issued by the Cyclone label. This effort stands out as an agreeable yet unremarkable release incorporating subtle country elements alongside whimsical baroque arrangements, highlighted by the duo's effective merging of voices through robust and inventive harmonic passages.
