Biography
At the dawn of the twentieth century, traditional Andean music found renewed expression in the performances of bandola (small accordion) player and composer Morales Pino, born Pedro Morales Pino, together with his ensemble the Morales Pino Trio. After graduating from Escuela Nacional de Mexico, Pino established the group in 1877 and remained its director until 1908.
