Biography
Ville Pystynen, the Finnish-born black metal spellcaster best recognized by his Shatraug alias and through his work in Horna and Sargeist, created the depressive black metal project Mortualia. This endeavor concentrates on atmospheric, unyieldingly bleak constructions saturated with funereal despair. Shatraug issued his debut recording under the Mortualia name with the self-titled 2007 album, which appeared in an extremely limited edition before its 2011 reissue. Blood of the Hermit followed in 2014, and the aptly named Wild Wild Misery surfaced in 2016.
