Biography
Emerging amid Toronto, Ontario’s Rexdale district, long marked by its intense violence, Moula 1st channeled both the harsh pressures and upbeat energy of that setting into his sharp, unsettling recordings. Working regularly alongside his peer Pyrex, he began sharing tracks digitally near 2016 before issuing notable singles and videos the following year, among them the eerie trap cut “Function,” styled like a horror-film score, and “Wake Up,” which contemplates staying positive through money troubles and inner turmoil; he then released the single “Airplane” later that same year.
