Mozelle Alderson

Origin: U.S.A
Listen on Coda
Mozelle Alderson, the St. Louis blues vocalist, cut sides under her own name in tandem with pianist Judson Brown. Evidence indicates that Alderson served as the genuine identity behind Jane Lucas, the voice heard on selected 1930 Hokum Boys releases. Additional pseudonyms possibly attached to the same performer, though verification is no longer feasible, include Kansas City Kitty, Hannah May, Thelma Holmes, and Mae Belle Lee.
