Biography
Mr. Nitro, born Derek Booker, launched his professional path in 1994 by handling production duties for Queen Latifah's Flavor Unit imprint while operating under the alias Daddy D. Disheartened after MCA and Elektra Records failed to grasp his artistic direction, he launched Nitro Entertainment as an independent outlet to spotlight rising acts from his native Oklahoma City. The 2000 compilation Hustlin' Pays served as the vehicle that brought Oklahoma's leading talents into view.
