Muzzle

Muzzle, an alterna-pop outfit from Seattle, originated in 1994 when singers and guitarists Ryan Maxwell and Wesley Nelson joined forces. The two longtime friends had already logged time together across several fleeting metal bands. Constant turnover in the rhythm section created persistent headaches during those formative years, yet the group still built a loyal audience through its live shows and eventually issued the indie debut Betty Pickup. Shortly thereafter Muzzle inked a deal with Reprise and delivered Actual Size in 1999.
