Biography
South Carolina's My Friend Stephanie arose after singer/songwriter Drue Bachmann's earlier band Sunday Blue collapsed in 1995, its end triggered by mounting financial strains and injuries Bachmann sustained in a touring accident that left continuation impossible. Following extensive reconstructive surgery and a period of recovery, Bachmann reassembled the bulk of Sunday Blue's lineup under the new name My Friend Stephanie. That lineup issued Makeover through Innocent Media, yet when the label encountered its own fiscal difficulties the band assumed responsibility for booking, merchandising, and radio promotion, resulting in fruitful tours across 1996 and 1997. All The Pieces appeared on Gray Dot Records in 1998, with One Of Those Days arriving the next year.
