From the ominous, atmospheric techno textures that defined Dean Myler's first outing—the 2011 EP Sub Missive—to the bruising industrial force of his 2017 Lord of the ASBO EP on Ansome and Ossian's S.L.A.M. imprint, the Irish producer has consistently steered his music toward the tougher extremes of the techno spectrum.

Raised in Waterford, Myler developed an early passion for dance music, sparked by his father's deep-house collection; at fourteen he obtained his initial turntables. The rising hard-dance movement within Ireland soon drew him behind the decks in clubs nationwide, yet the scene's limited reach prompted him to explore wider horizons. Techno offered the ideal bridge between that aggressive dance energy and the exploratory qualities of deep house, allowing Myler to establish himself in the field. After enrolling in a sound-engineering and production program in 2009, he began creating original tracks; his debut appeared on the Italian label Shout, followed later that year by a second release on Tech Fu. In the ensuing years his output on Kaputt, Fifth Wall, and Eklero broadened his reach while his palette grew more abrasive, incorporating the industrial elements then surfacing throughout techno. Releases on Luke Creed's Variance, Martyn Hare's Emetic, and Untold's Pennyroyal reinforced his standing among Ireland's most forward-thinking techno artists. Alongside appearances at major European techno venues, he became a regular selector for the Belfast crew DSNT. Further productions emerged on Mindcut and EarToGround, culminating in the 2017 Lord of the ASBO EP for fellow noiseniks Ansome and Ossian's South London Analogue Material.
