Biography
Around 1993, Myrkskog emerged from Norway’s death metal underground and made an abrupt splash in the extreme metal community before slipping back into obscurity within a year. A solitary four-track recording that circulated through the underground persuaded the group to attempt another try. They cut a widely circulated demo in 1998 whose underground impact secured a Candlelight contract and the release of Death Machine. Encouraging responses from regional metal listeners sustained the band’s activity, resulting in the arrival of their second album, Superior Massacre, in stores by 2002.
