Biography
In 1996 Atlanta-based preteen vocal group N-Toon was assembled after former Klymaxx frontwoman Joyce Irby hand-selected its members while searching for a new act to produce. The four singers—Lloyd Polite, Chuckie D. Reynolds, Justin Clark, and Everett Hall—ranged in age from nine to thirteen and proved ideal for the project. Referencing the Backstreet Boys, Silk, and Dru Hill as touchstones, N-Toon also performed on Radio Disney’s Peanut Butter n’ Jam Summer Concert in the Park series. Dreamworks issued the group’s debut album, Toon Time, in March 2000.
