Hailing from Oklahoma City, the rap duo N7 & Pwap earned notice for their nimble and rapid-fire delivery, launching into wider view during 2018 through the widely streamed track "Spazzin'."
N7, born Isaiah Favela and self-styled the "best Mexican rapper in the world," first crossed paths with Deontrae Boyd, known as Pwap, while both were still in high school; the classmates soon began trading rhymes. Determined to enter the industry, they issued a series of online tracks—"On God," "Doubt tha Gang," "No Hook," and "Rackman"—that cultivated a devoted local audience through their brisk, back-and-forth cadence and refusal of Auto-Tune, producing a faintly vintage texture.
