Biography
Nameless Crime originated as a heavy metal outfit from Naples, Italy, around 1998. Their sound fuses traditional, power, thrash, and progressive metal styles. Founding members Alessandro Tuccillo on guitar, Raffaele Lanzuise on bass, and Dario Graziano departed from Atomic Child and recruited guitarist Marco Ruggiero, formerly of Landguard and also tied to Stormwind, plus vocalist Michele Sorrentino to complete the lineup.
The group issued its initial demo in 2000. After Fabio Manda replaced Sorrentino, they recorded the Live in the Studio demo in 2001. A contract with Nocturnal Music followed, yielding their self-titled debut album in 2003. Weak commercial results forced an independent release of the Backdraft EP in 2004. A subsequent agreement with Powerzone Records enabled the 2006 album Law and Persecution, yet the roster soon fragmented. Reappearing in 2009, Nameless Crime adopted an alternative metal direction akin to Faith No More. Veterans Lanzuise and Graziano, now handling keyboards, steered the project with incoming vocalist Dario Guarini, guitarist Maddalena Bellini, and drummer Daniele Ciao.
