Biography
Formed in 1988, the Swedish glam-metal quintet assembled vocalist Andy Pierce and guitarist Jonnie Wee, with bassist Dick Qwarfort, drummer George Swanson and keyboardist Roger White rounding out the roster. Their early sound followed a commercial hard rock path echoing Bon Jovi and Whitesnake, yielding the debut album Gigolos On Parole to minimal notice. Jonnie Wee soon gave way to guitarist Peter Espinoza, whose arrival steered the group toward a fuller glam-metal presentation shaped by Mötley Crüe and Hanoi Rocks. Cruel Intention emerged from this shift and appeared in 1991. Although clearly stronger than its predecessor, the record still fell short of the sales impact associated with those reference points.
