Biography
Natasha Owens works as a Christian country singer and songwriter whose background includes contemporary worship music. She entered the scene in the early 2010s and put forward several independent projects that drew favorable notice, among them We Will Rise (2017) and Stand (2021), ahead of wider attention in 2023 through the viral country single "Trump Won."
Born in Texas, she grew up in Arlington and lives in Dallas. Her first album, the powerful I Made It Through, came out in 2013 after she wrote the material in response to her father’s death three years earlier. The EP No One But You followed in 2015, and her second full-length release, the restorative We Will Rise, arrived in 2017. Warrior, issued in 2019, offered a set of motivating synth-laden pop cuts, while Christmas Memories in 2020 presented her warm renditions of classic holiday songs. The anthemic Stand, helmed by Dove Award winner Ian Eskelin, appeared the next year. Owens moved into country with 2022’s American Patriot and then issued the multiple chart-topping viral hit "Trump Won" in 2023.
