Biography
Born in Casablanca, Nathalie Matthews spent her formative years in Montreal, where she mastered piano, flute, and saxophone while refining her voice. Strong showings and victories in area talent contests led to an opportunity as a backing vocalist on Celine Dion’s tour, after which she launched a solo career centered on Canadian stages. In 2005 she turned southward, entering U.S. music competitions that highlighted her expansive vocal range and ultimately yielded her self-titled debut—a fusion of clean pop and radio-friendly R&B—in 2007.
