Biography
Emerging from Indiana in 2007, Native took shape as a post-hardcore outfit. Their approach echoes the styles of Minus the Bear and At the Drive-In, blending intricate guitar maneuvers with propulsive rhythms to yield an energetic force that stops short of excessive weight. The group consists of Bobby Markos on bass and vocals, guitarists Dan Evans and Ed O'Neill, and drummer Nick Glassen. They issued their opening EP, We Delete; Erase, in 2008. Sargent House soon became their label home, issuing the first full-length effort, Wrestling Moves, in 2010 and the follow-up, Orthodox, in the summer of 2013.
