Biography
Ana Roxanne and DJ Python channel feelings of alienation and loneliness as Natural Wonder Beauty Concept by blending IDM, ambient pop, and atmospheric jungle into an unpredictable, flowing sound. The pair first crossed paths in 2020 and slowly developed tracks that became their self-titled debut album, released in 2023.
Roxanne produces calming, meditative ambient works rooted in R&B traditions, whereas Brian Piñeyro, performing as DJ Python, merges deep house with reggaeton. Their initial encounter took place in New York after Roxanne relocated from the San Francisco Bay Area. Lockdown measures during the COVID-19 pandemic prompted early sessions at Gary's Electric Studio in Brooklyn’s Greenpoint neighborhood. Roxanne launched her debut headline tours across Europe, Australia, and North America in 2021, while Python maintained a schedule of club dates throughout Europe. Once Roxanne returned to the Bay Area, the two continued collaborating only when their travel schedules overlapped, yielding experimental electronic pop tracks whose lyrics reflect the isolation and exhaustion both felt on the road. Mexican Summer issued Natural Wonder Beauty Concept, the duo’s self-titled debut, in 2023.
