Biography
Nervous Cop operates as a trio centered on drums and harp, drawing together Zach Hill of Hella, Greg Saunier of Deerhoof, and Joanna Newsom of the Pleased, who contributes both harp and keyboards. Hill and Saunier launched the effort themselves before bringing Newsom aboard and incorporating extra electronic textures from Deerhoof’s John Dieterich throughout its evolution. The group’s self-titled debut appeared on 5 Rue Christine during fall 2003.
