Biography
Nevelle Viracocha, a rapper, singer, and producer, surfaced from the South in the second half of the 2010s, delivering a melodic yet hard-hitting style through his 2016 mixtape Eff/Pee/Ohh and the album Astral Hour in 2018. With roots in North Carolina, an upbringing in Alabama, and a current base in Atlanta, Georgia, he drew notice from prominent online outlets in 2015 via the single "Double Up." That song later appeared on the nine-track mixtape Eff/Pee/Ohh, issued the next year under Empire distribution. Two additional standouts from the project, "Dirrty Game" and "Mind Made," gained wider exposure after licensing for episodes of the FX series Atlanta that first aired in April 2018. Capitalizing on the resulting buzz, Viracocha put out Astral Hour before the year ended. Regarded as his debut album, it included the AraabMuzik-produced single "Wanted."
