Hailing from Britain, New Hope Club operates as a boy band trio devoted to earnestly romantic and buoyant pop. Their initial appearance came via the 2017 EP Welcome to the Club, after which they expanded their reach by touring with the Vamps. The year 2020 brought their first full-length album, New Hope Club, which reached number five on the U.K. albums chart, and the group followed with the 2021 EP Summer Showers with Reece.

The three musicians formed New Hope Club in 2015, uniting vocalist/guitarist/pianist Blake Richardson, vocalist/guitarist/pianist George Smith, and vocalist/bassist Reece Bibby, a former X Factor contestant who joined following the dissolution of his earlier group, Stereo Kicks. Early notice arrived through their cover of the Vamps' "Wake Up," prompting a deal with the Vamps' own Steady Records imprint. The band issued its debut four-song EP, Welcome to the Club, in 2017 and issued Welcome to the Club, Pt. 2 the next year.

February 2020 saw the arrival of the debut full-length New Hope Club, which contained the track "Permission" and included guest appearances by Danna Paola and DJ R3hab; the album climbed to number five on the U.K. albums chart. The non-album single "Worse" surfaced later that year, preceding the 2021 EP Summer Showers with Reece. In May 2022 the group launched a global tour while unveiling the Ross Golan-produced songs "Getting Better" and "Girl Who Does Both."
