Biography
The origins of New Sun trace back to 1993, when D.L. Erickson on guitar joined forces with Christopher Scott Cooper handling guitar, vocals, and keys, prompting the pair to launch a band. Alex Kley on bass and Scott Landucci on drums soon completed the lineup, with the San Francisco Bay Area serving as the setting. Landucci exited in 1984 and Chris Tujillo took over the drum position. Fractured marked their first release in 1995, while Affects followed in 1998. Co-founder Erickson departed the following year, yet the remaining members continued onward and delivered Expectations in 2001.
