Biography
Saxophonist Mike Lee and trumpeter Ted Chubb helm the post-bop jazz outfit New Tricks, assembled in New Jersey near 2006 with bassist Kellen Harrison and drummer Shawn Baltazor rounding out the lineup. Their debut arrived as the self-titled New Tricks in 2009. Performances spanning the Midwest and California soon followed, lifting the group’s visibility on a national scale. The 2011 release Alternate Side marked their second album.
