Biography
Nia Peeples enjoyed far greater success in front of the camera as an actress and television host than she ever achieved as a recording artist. Three seasons on Fame led to her serving as host of the CBS edition of Top of the Pops and, for a brief time, the late-night series The Party Machine, which was produced by Arsenio Hall Productions. In 1988 she released an album on Mercury that drew little notice. Peeples was once married to vocalist Howard Hewitt.
