Biography
Based in San Francisco, Nicki Bluhm & the Gramblers infuse rootsy country with R&B and blues textures, orbiting vocalist Nicki Bluhm and her husband Tim Bluhm, who contributes guitar and keyboards. The ensemble took shape around 2006 when Nicki assembled a live unit to back her first solo record, Toby's Song from 2008, drawing on assorted Bay Area players that include Deren Ney on lead guitar and vocals, Steve Adams handling bass and vocals, Dave Mulligan on rhythm guitar and vocals, and drummer Mike Curry. In 2012 the group issued its self-titled debut full-length, spotlighting the single "Little Too Late."
