Biography
Latin ska-punk outfit Niños con Bombas took shape under the guidance of vocalist and guitarist Daniel Puente, who grew up in Santiago, Chile and had earlier fronted the punk group the Pinochet Boys. While completing a two-year journey across multiple continents, Puente reached Berlin and struck up a friendship with Brazilian-born bassist Alex Menck; the pair quickly began composing material and completed the lineup by adding German drummer Norman Jankowsky. The resulting trio issued its first recording, De Tiempo en el Momento de la Explosion, in 1997 and followed it the next year with El Niño.
