Emerging as a notable prospect in the Gallic hip-hop arena, French rapper Niro spent his early years in Blois, sharpening his MC abilities with Les Insurgés and other collectives prior to joining the Street Lourd roster. Recognition followed from his contributions to Booba’s Autopsie, Vol. 4 on “Fenwick” and Bilel’s Laissez Passer l’Artiste on “Tu Vois Ce Que J’Veux Dire,” after which he issued his debut 2012 street tape Paraplégique during the same week authorities detained him, resulting in a five-month sentence for contempt.
