Biography
Bart Willoughby, who had studied at the Center of Aboriginal Studies, established No Fixed Address. The group’s output carries deliberate political intent and a nationalist edge while drawing creative fuel from the sonic textures and thematic concerns of reggae star Bob Marley. National visibility arrived via the 1979 documentary Wrong Side of the Road, a film that examined the cultural discrimination experienced by Australia’s aborigines.
