Biography
No Knife came together in San Diego as an alternative quartet founded by vocalist Mitch Wilson, guitarist Aaron Mancini, bassist Brian Desjean, and drummer Ike Zaremba, who cut their first record, Drunk on the Moon, for Goldenrod Records. The band toured with Heavy Vegetable and aMiniature, at which point Mancini gave way to Ryan Ferguson, and the lineup then secured a contract with Time Bomb Recordings. That label brought Drunk on the Moon back into print in 1996 and issued the group’s second album, Hit Man Dreams, in July 1997. Zaremba left the drum chair for Chris Prescott, formerly of Tanner, after which Fire in the City of Automatons surfaced in 1999. Riot for Romance reached listeners in the summer of 2002 following a three-year interval.
