Emerging from Toronto, the fiery Canadian hardcore punk unit No Warning took shape in 1998 through the efforts of vocalist Ben Cook alongside guitarists Matt Delong and Alan Riches. Initially operating as As We Once Were, they issued a pair of demos before adopting the No Warning name in 2001 and issuing their self-titled debut on the Boston-based indie Bridge Nine Records.

The hard-hitting sophomore album Ill Blood from 2002 drew the notice of Sum 41 manager/producer Greig Nori, who placed the band under his management and production company. In 2004 they signed with the Linkin Park-founded Machine Shop Records and unveiled their highly anticipated third studio long-player, Suffer, Survive.

After an intense stretch of touring the following year, the members opted to disband and dispersed into other projects such as Surplus Sons, Fucked Up, Terror, and Millennial Reign. They reconvened in 2013 to release a one-off 7", then resumed live appearances at home and overseas by 2014. August 2017 brought word of their long-awaited fourth full-length outing, Torture Culture, which arrived that October featuring Ben Cook, Matt Delong, Jordan Posner, Jesse Labovitz, and Ryan Gavel.
