Noemi

Emerging onto the scene as an Italian vocalist, Noémi first captured public attention through her 2008 stint on the reality competition X Factor, which led directly into her independent recording path the next year. She entered the world as Veronica Scopelliti on January 25, 1982, in Rome, and joined the show's second season, the Italian adaptation of the Pop Idol format. Her run ended in fifth place, a considerable distance behind winner Matteo Becucci, yet this outcome prompted Sony BMG to extend a recording contract. The single "Briciole" served as her commercial introduction and climbed to number two. Alongside it came the six-track EP Noémi, which contained "Briciole." The next release, "La Costruzione di un Amore," likewise achieved strong chart results.
