Biography
South Florida serves as home to Nori Nori, whose core lineup consists of Duwayne Hoillet, Devin Marsh, and Tony Tomlinson. Additional musicians, including horn players and backing vocalists, join the three during studio sessions and occasionally on stage to expand their sound. A shared devotion to island music binds the members together. As founder and leader, Marsh keeps the group’s output upbeat, routinely drawing listeners into collective singing and movement with the rhythms. Crowds have experienced Nori Nori at the Summit of the Americas, Coconut Grove Arts Festival, Goombay Festival, Super Bowl XXX111, college football games, South Miami Arts Festival, Orange Bowl, and neighborhood venues such as the Cove. The band has opened for Air Supply, Aswad, Alfa Blondy, and many others. Recording the title track for the movie Golfballs stands out among their accomplishments. Two CDs appear in their catalog: One Step Closer and Nori Nori.
