Biography
North "2unes" Woodall, a guitarist whose playing incorporates jazz and R&B influences, hails from Dayton, Ohio. His passion for music emerged during childhood, and as a mostly self-taught musician, he drew inspiration from a range of cross-genre figures including Santana, George Benson, Joe Walsh, and Ernie Isley. He honed his craft through performances with multiple ensembles in the Dayton area before moving to Atlanta, Georgia, to pursue further opportunities on stage. Recognized as a sought-after collaborator and ensemble leader, Woodall has appeared alongside notable artists such as Roy Ayers, Lakeside, the Ohio Players, Millie Jackson, Tom Brown, Will Downing, and others. His solo discography features several acclaimed releases, among them Hot and Cool from 2005, Straight @ You in 2007, and Loving 2 from 2011. The year 2017 saw the arrival of his funky, fusion-tinged album Between the Lobes.
