An ill-starred pop-rock venture briefly promised to restore momentum for former Diamond Head frontman Sean Harris and guitarist Robin George, only to collapse before gaining traction. Their lavishly produced debut appeared on the revived Bronze imprint, with George handling every instrumental part, yet the pair resisted the label’s demand that they assemble a road band, insisting Notorious functioned solely as a studio project. That impasse prompted the album’s withdrawal after just three weeks in stores. Despite the abrupt end, the record stands as an overlooked achievement clearly shaped by Robert Plant’s solo recordings and yielded the standout single “The Swalk.” Barred from any genuine opportunity to succeed, the duo disbanded, leaving Harris to rejoin a reactivated Diamond Head.
