Biography
Nucular Aminals came together in 2007 after guitarist Robert Comitz and keyboardist Erin Schmith, both San Francisco natives and onetime members of Marriage + Cancer, moved to Portland, Oregon, where they assembled a new lineup alongside bassist Jheremy Grigsby and drummer Wiley Hickson under a deliberately misspelled name that matched their loose indie sensibility. Attracted by the resulting sound, K Records signed the band and issued its self-titled debut album in 2011.
