Biography
Nymb originated in Chicago during the mid-1990s, introducing distinctive approaches to the melodic dimensions of guitar rock through meticulously built and imaginative compositions. The alternative outfit featured Elaine Doty on guitar and vocals, Nathan Snydacker on bass, Jamie Zoeller on guitar, and Ben Kane on drums. After countless live appearances, the group swiftly emerged as a leading presence in the city’s music community, issuing its debut recording with the EP Novembre in 1998. Developing a loyal audience and solid standing that extended past Chicago, Nymb followed with the EP The Glass Eye in 1999. Shortly before the 2001 release of its first full-length album So This Is How It Is, the band announced its dissolution and delivered the limited-edition EP Nothing New as its final output that August.
