Biography
Avant-metal guitarist and songwriter Mick Barr directs a range of endeavors, one of which is Ocrilim, a venture that shared an underlying kinship with his parallel work as Octis. At various points Barr has also contributed to Orthrelm on Ipecac Recordings as well as to Crom-tech and Quix*O*Tic. Ocrilim first appeared on record in 2003 with the two seven-inch singles Ocrilorx 1 & 2. The full-length album Anoint surfaced in 2006. Hydrahead, a post metal and avant metal imprint, released the project’s next album, Annwn, in 2008. Across subsequent years both Ocrilim and Octis drew notice for a series of live appearances.
