Born in Navolato in 2000, Octavio Cuadras grew up in Sinaloa and emerged as a Regional Mexican singer and songwriter who created the corridos felices style. During his teenage years he developed a deeper engagement with music by helping assemble stages for nearby acts while also studying percussion and guitar. Finding the aggressive, narco-focused themes of corridos tumbados—the dominant Regional Mexican sound of the 2020s—unappealing, he crafted an alternative approach centered on upbeat, celebratory dance and party vibes, which he named corridos felices. Social media embraced the idea enthusiastically, leading to a major breakthrough in 2023 when his early single “Bling Bling,” recorded with Grupo Marca Registrada, became a widespread success; a Maluma-assisted remix appeared several months afterward. Throughout 2024 he maintained a rapid pace of activity that included more than thirty singles and joint projects, while also issuing his debut EP Corridos Felices, expanding it via a deluxe edition into a longer project, and delivering the live recording Pa' Andar Happy (En Vivo).
