Biography
Emerging from Hamburg, Germany, the pop-punk and emo rock outfit One Fine Day consists of vocalist Marten Plumer, guitarists Hendrik Burkhard and Roman Rossback, bassist Marco Koehrsen, along with drummer Erik-Mac Essig. Their initial breakthrough came after a demo received airplay on the northern German radio outlet Delta Radio during 2003. That exposure propelled them into the top five finalists at the John Lennon Talent Awards that same year, securing a contract with Rockhit Records. Under this label, they produced and issued their first full-length effort, Faster Than the World, in 2004. Extensive touring followed to support the release, where they performed alongside prominent acts in their scene such as My Chemical Romance, Simple Plan, Fall Out Boy, and the Bloodhound Gang. The group returned with their sophomore album Damn Right in 2007. This effort included contributions from Henning Wehland of H-Blockx and Anne Kalstrup of Pinboys. The tracks "Damn Right" and "Goodbye Reality" achieved chart success as singles, while the record also contained their rendition of Cyndi Lauper's "She Bop."
