Biography
While performing on the streets of London, Rokko on vocals and guitar along with Lushi on bass guitar came to the attention of Regard Records, the same label that housed Haysi Fantayzee. They promptly added Lin Minchin on second guitar and Steve Nicol on drums, with Ian Trimmer continuing as an unofficial saxophonist, and issued multiple singles across 1983. Their first full-length effort, Nearly a Sin, arrived in 1984 and drew early notice from the British press, though commercial results failed to follow. When the follow-up, Some Strange Fashion, appeared under the production of legendary Mick Ronson, both Minchin and Nicol had already departed, so Rokko, Lushi, Trimmer, and Ronson covered the bulk of the work. Less than twelve months later Rokko, Lushi, and Trimmer had parted ways, consigning One the Juggler to memory.
