Biography
Since May 1999 the Vancouver, BC trio Operation: Makeout has composed and tracked intricate guitar lines paired with angst pop. Their approach sits comfortably alongside the Need, Sleater-Kinney, and the Puta-Pons. Katie on guitar and vocals, Jesse on bass and vocals, and Anna on drums issued their debut self-titled album independently in summer 2000. First Base arrived the following year as an early glimpse before the band joined the New Town Animals on tour. September 2002 saw the release of Hang Loose, their first full-length album.
