Biography
Formed back in 1986 in Singapore by Francis Frightful on vocals and guitar, Opposition Party stands as the nation's pioneering punk outfit, marking the start of their enduring presence in the music scene. Their initial output appeared in 1987 across assorted compilations and restricted cassette releases. Gradually shifting toward a heavier sound, the group incorporated thrash metal elements while retaining the core hardcore punk traits that shaped their identity from the beginning. Following extensive work on compilations and various demo tapes, they issued their full-length album Zombified in 2005 through Pulverised Records.
