Orbiter

Harris Thurmond, once the guitarist for Hammberbox, launched Orbiter alongside vocalist Fiia McGann, previously of Goodness. The pair came together after Thurmond spotted McGann singing karaoke inside a Seattle bar. Their indie pop sound leaned on soft keyboards and programmed beats, diverging sharply from the work each had done in earlier bands. The duo issued their first recording, the Mini LP, on Loveless in 2000.
