Emerging from Oslo, Norway, the punishing death/black metal outfit Order maintains connections to multiple Scandinavian and European extreme metal institutions such as Mayhem, Cadaver, Celtic Frost, Satyricon, and Gluecifer. Manheim and Messiah, both formerly of Mayhem, established the group in 2013 alongside Anders Odden and René Jansen, both ex-Cadaver. In 2014 Gluecifer bassist Stu Manx replaced Jansen, who died that year after battling Leukemia. Pledging "to restore order and celebrate Pure Fucking Armageddon for all," the band released their debut long-player, Lex Amentiae, via Listenable Records in 2017.
