Biography
After arriving in Miami, Florida, during 1961, he continued onward to Maryland. At the University of Miami he completed a doctorate in composition under Dennis Kam. Private instruction came from David Del Tredici, John Corigliano, and Morton Feldman. He founded the South Florida Composers Alliance and serves as its president. He also directs the New Music Ensemble and the Electronic Music Studio at the State University of Florida. ~ "Blue" Gene Tyranny
