Biography
Active since 1992, Tejano artist Oscar G has led the five-piece ensemble Grupo Sol, gaining recognition for their intense and dynamic stage shows. Listeners have likewise responded to the range and force of his vocals. A native of Eagle Pass, Texas, Oscar cultivated an early and lasting interest in music. The lineup includes Eddie Rivas on drums, Roger Contreras on bass, Martin Garcia on keyboards, Ernest Garcia as lead guitarist, Xavier Trejo on accordion, and Eddie Guerrero on saxophone. Signed to Manny/WEA Latina, Oscar G and Grupo Sol issued five albums between 1992 and 1995, one of which was Te Quiero.
