Oto Hiax

British electronic artists Mark Clifford of Seefeel and Disjecta joined forces with Scott Douglas Gordon from Loops Haunt to create Oto Hiax. Their partnership fuses electronic techniques with electro-acoustic processes to generate intense sonic investigations that at times shift into rougher rhythmic patterns. Although the resulting pieces often carry tension and unease, an underlying sense of play keeps the material from feeling overly severe. Two full-lengths have appeared on Editions Mego, the first being the self-titled album issued in 2017.

The pair started working together in 2011. Their debut EP, One, received a digital self-release in 2015. Editions Mego followed with the self-titled debut LP in early 2017, and Two surfaced on the same imprint in 2019.
