Biography
The all-star jazz collective Out Of/Into unites several Blue Note recording artists celebrated for their refined, modern approach to post-bop, a style they brought to the 2024 album Motion 1.
Assembled that same year to celebrate the 85th anniversary of Blue Note Records, the ensemble includes pianist and musical director Gerald Clayton, alto saxophonist Immanuel Wilkins, vibraphonist Joel Ross, drummer Kendrick Scott, and bassist Matt Brewer. The musicians applied their combined experience to the project, resulting in the group’s debut release, Motion 1.
