Biography
Originating in Norman, Oklahoma, the punk rock outfit Over Stars and Gutters assembled in August 2007 when vocalist and guitarist Matt McHugh launched the project after Third Grade Scuffle disbanded. Following a stretch of shifting members, the group settled into a stable configuration featuring bassist Derek Lehman, drummer Jerry Jump, and guitarist/vocalist Taylor Hale. Taking cues from Jawbreaker and Hot Water Music, the quartet independently issued its first full-length of gritty pop-punk, Consider This Your Curse, in July 2009. Late that same year, the New Jersey label Black Numbers signed the band and reissued the album in January 2010.
